Hotel Overview

Sense of place

Tribal Hotel is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy Granada’s slow pace of life, with a tropical courtyard with cabana-style day beds and a beautiful outdoor pool. The atmosphere feels like a stylish family home, and much of the furniture was designed by the owners themselves.

Rooms at Tribal Hotel

Tribal Hotel’s 5 Deluxe Rooms are spread between the first and second floors, and all feature private terraces; the second-floor Junior Suites have even larger terraces which double as outdoor living rooms. The décor in all of them is as vibrant and stylish as the rest of the hotel, with beautiful woven rugs in classic Nicaraguan style, dark wood and unique furnishings and artworks providing decoration. Bathrooms are beautiful, monochrome spaces hewn from dark marble.

Food & drink

Breakfast at Tribal Hotel is a varied and extensive affair which changes daily, with fresh and home-cooked dishes served either in the communal dining area of in the privacy of your own terrace or room. Drinks and a selection of light bites are also available throughout the day. Granada is home to some great restaurants; pick of the bunch is Restaurante El Garaje, a Dutch-owned local favourite where a range of delicious international dishes are served up in a homely atmosphere.

Facilities

The hotel has a beautiful swimming pool in the outdoor courtyard area, with cabana-style day beds dotted around it – a brilliant place to relax with a drink after an afternoon exploring Granada. Spa treatments are available by arrangement.

Activities at Tribal Hotel

The charming town of Granada is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its colonial architecture, pretty churches and museums make it a great place to simply stroll around. Convento y Museo San Francisco is one of Central America’s oldest churches, and contains a museum dedicated to local art, history and museum. There’s also a chocolate museum, where you can make your own bar. Nearby San Juan del Sur is a chilled-out beachfront town and a favourite of surfers, and there’s great snorkelling and diving to be found around the beautiful Corn Island.
