Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Cuixmala sits on Mexico’s unspoilt Costalegre on the beautiful Playa Cuixmala.

Rooms at Cuixmala

A selection of villas and smaller casitas are set around the estate’s centrepiece: Casa Cuixmala, a fantasy palace with an unrivalled position overlooking Playa Cuixmala. This dream villa comes with six (yes, six) bungalows for guests and has played host to presidents, heads of state and celebrities from across the world. The smaller villas offer exquisite interiors and private pools and come fully staffed with your own chef. Meanwhile, couples can take one of the casitas clustered in lush vegetation with a shared pool and clubhouse restaurant.

Food & Drink

Most of the delicious food at Cuixmala is grown on the estate’s own organic farm and prepared by skilled chefs serving international and Mexican dishes. Enjoy freshly-grilled seafood under the trees on the lawn or a barbecue on the beach.

Facilities

The estate’s majestic stables offer riding throughout the estate’s many trails or up into the mountains that form its backdrop. There are also tennis courts and volleyball, or you can head out on a mountain bike. For something more relaxing, unwind with a massage or a private yoga session.

Activities at Cuixmala

Horse riding is a signature experience at Cuixmala, while on the waves the estate offers kayaking, sailing, fishing, surfing, snorkelling and scuba diving.

Wildlife is abundant and if you time it right, you can help staff release baby turtles onto the beach as part of their turtle protection programme. There are hundreds of bird species, crocodiles and even introduced African animals such as zebras and antelopes. At sundown, the estate’s electric boat can take you on a tour through the lagoons to spot a myriad of birds and other animals. Off the estate, there’s golf and polo nearby.
