Hotel Overview

Sense of place

La Valise is Mexico City’s answer to Shoreditch or Williamsburg, and the hotel fits right in with its trendy surroundings. It’s the brainchild of interior designers Chic By Accident, and has an arty aesthetic and unique décor throughout.

Rooms at La Valise

La Valise has just three suites, each of which are beautifully designed in a chic, contemporary style. El Patio fuses Mexican and European decorative styles and, as the name suggests, backs on to a private patio; La Luna is characterised by light wood floors, bright red carpets, and ’70s lighting. La Terrazza has a beautiful roof terrace, which the double bed rolls out onto from inside the bedroom: perfect for movie nights or sleeping beneath the stars.

Food & Drink

More a luxurious private home than a traditional hotel, La Valise does not feature a restaurant; each morning, however, a delicious breakfast of yoghurt, granola, pastries, seasonal fruits and tea or coffee is delivered to your room. Room service is also available throughout the day from Rosetta, a nearby restaurant acclaimed for its Italian cuisine, as well as La Panaderia, a sandwich shop and bakery.

Facilities

There is no swimming pool or spa facilities at La Valise, but massages can be arranged in the privacy of your own room. There’s also a discount for guests at a nearby gym.

Activities at La Valise

La Valise’s concierge service will help you arrange an extensive programme of activities in the Mexican capital. The surrounding Colonia Roma district is one of the most fashionable in Mexico City, teeming with contemporary art galleries, boutique shops and buzzing bars. Should you want to retreat from the urban buzz, Chapultepec Park – the largest city park in Latin America – is just ten minutes’ drive away, and is also home to several of Mexico’s best museums.
