Set in the rainforest on the shores of one of Guatemala’s most stunning lakes, Lake Petén Itzá, La Lancha is only 90 minutes drive away from the world famous Mayan ruins at Tikal.

Decorated with Mayan art and Guatemalan and Balinese furniture the 10 casitas are large and bright, overlooking either the lake or rainforest. La Lancha's casitas share partitioned terraces with hammocks.

Food and Facilities

Take a plunge in the pool after a hard day’s sightseeing or enjoy a massage in the comfort of your casita. Enjoy your meals in the wonderful high ceiling thatched open air restaurant – delicious Guatemalan and Italian infused food accompanied by some of Coppola’s own delicious wine.

Activities at La Lancha

Visiting Tikal is a must but is not the only excursion available. The friendly and very helpful staff at La Lancha can organise fishing, lake trips, canopy tours, bird-watching, horse riding, kayaking and mountain biking. And find you're having difficulty communicating with the locals? Spanish classes can be arranged.
