Where

On the Nicoya Peninsula in rural Guanacaste. Punta Islita is a 40 minute plane hop west from San Jose or for those feeling more adventurous a 5 hr car journey.

Hidden around the hillside are 30 spacious rooms and suites along with 26 two to four bedroom villas ideally equipped for families. The secluded and romantic suites at Punta Islita are ideal for honeymooners looking for that extra bit of privacy. With a private Jacuzzi and spectacular views, these suites are the ultimate hideaway.

Food and Facilities

A delicious blend of Costa Rican and international cuisine is on the menu at the excellent 1492 restaurant. The freshly caught seafood is terrific. Punta Islita's amenities are also superb – a 9 hole golf course, two swimming pools, beach club, the Casa Spa and an exercise room are all on hand for active guests.

Activities at Punta Islita

Take surf lessons, watch sea-turtles hatch, learn Spanish, take an art workshop, zipline through the canopy, go horse riding or play golf. Over done it? Stop in at the spa for a treatment or two.
