Modelled on traditional Indonesian design, each of the 12 villas fuses Balinese architecture with contemporary style. Floor to ceiling glass windows peer into the surrounding forest and across the Pacific Ocean in the background, which can be seen from the comfort of your four poster bed.

The clubhouse houses the restaurant and bar, which offers gourmet – style typical Costa Rican and international dishes. Choose to dine at the restaurant, next to the infinity pool, or in the privacy of your own terrace.

Set in its own protected reserve, the surrounding primary jungle is a hub for wildlife, including monkeys, toucans and coatis. Explore the flora and fauna and hidden waterfalls of the jungle from your very doorstep, or go on a thrill seeking zip wire adventure through the canopy. Alternatively, head to the beach to spot humpback whales in season (August to October or December through to March), horse ride on the beach, kayak the coast, or snorkel the shoreline.
