Hotel Overview

Where

Set in a 185-acre private reserve on the Pacific side of the Osa Peninsula, close to the Corcovado National Park.

Rooms at El Remanso

A mixture of suites and rooms are nestled inside the two-storey house that governs El Remanso, while a small collection of cabins are scattered around the property. From each room you’ll be amongst the heart of forest activity, seeing monkeys swinging past the window and hearing the sounds of tropical birds, such as the scarlet macaw, chirping overhead.

Food and facilities

Through the bamboo beams of the restaurant, you’ll witness spectacular panoramas of the ocean through the forest canopy while enjoying delicious meals. The premises are also used for conservation talks, and there is a lounge and library section perfect for relaxing in with a long drink after a busy day in the jungle.

Activities at El Remanso

The hotel is conveniently located among a variety of hiking trails and adrenaline-fuelled forest activities. Abseil down waterfalls, explore hidden tide pools, or take night tours to discover the nocturnal life of the forest. When you tire of the jungle, follow the attractive coastal path and enjoy the wild coastline and blue waters of the secluded palm-fringed beach.
