Nayara Tented Camp

Hidden amongst treetops, Nayara Tented Camp and the Arenal area is full of adventure and eco-discovery, with unbeatable views of the Arenal Volcano.

The stylish tents at Nayara Tented Camp are set high on the hill overlooking the Arenal Volcano. They sleep up to four people, and each tent has a spacious bedroom with a four-poster canopy bed and two benches that can be turned into beds if needed, alongside a deluxe bathroom with an oversized tub as well as both an indoor and outdoor shower, bringing the outdoors in. Some of the tents can be connected via a passageway to create two interconnecting rooms - ideal for families and groups of friends. 

Relax on your terrace or cool off with a dip in your private plunge pool, filled with water from natural hot springs from the volcano - take in the volcano views from your pool, and keep an eye out for wildlife. 

The camp's restaurant offers gourmet Costa Rican food and unbeatable rainforest views from its expansive terrace. Guests can also sample a range of cuisines at the restaurants at the adjacent Nayara hotels - try Asian specialities at Asia-Luna, and head to the Nostalgia Wine Bar to try its excellent wines from across Latin America and Europe.

The open-air spa overlooks the stunning tropical scenery and is the perfect spot to unwind with a treatment featuring natural products such as volcanic mud, organic coffee and chocolate. Relax by the pool and grab a drink at the swim-up bar after a busy day exploring the jungle, and there are also plunge pools at the bottom of the resort, fed by volcanic spring water and immersed in the rainforest.

Alternatively, head to Nayara Springs for a complimentary morning yoga class on its yoga pavilion, during which you may spot toucans, butterflies, howler monkeys and sloths in the surrounding rainforest.

Take to the trees on a canopy tour, combining adventure with ecological discovery on hanging bridges, ziplines and the Sky Tram, and experience the wonderful views of the rainforest from above. Adventure further and enjoy white water rafting or canyoning, go kayaking on Arenal Lake, go horse riding or quad biking, or embark on a hike around lava fields or up Arenal Volcano.
