Green Turtles in Tortuguero. Tortuguero is the most important nesting site in the Western hemisphere for these mesmerising and endangered species. They can be seen nesting and hatching out between July and October, and you can also see hawksbill, leatherback, and loggerhead turtles at different times of the year.
Breakfast with monkeys. You’ll be surrounded by wildlife from dusk ’til dawn, with colourful macaws chattering around the balcony, sloths eyeing you from the trees, and monkeys ready to steal fruit the moment your back is turned!
Whale and dolphin spotting. The Osa Peninsula is particularly good for spotting humpback whales and dolphins.
Diving off Isla de Caño. Fringed by coral reefs, this island is teeming with marine life and gives you the opportunity to swim amongst whale sharks, hammerheads and turtles.
