Pooks Hill Lodge

Five and a half miles south of the village of Teakettle on the Western Highway between Belmopan and San Ignacio. Next to the border of the Tapir Mountain Reserve which extends southwest of the lodge and continues into the Toledo district in the south of Belize.

11 traditional Maya thatched roof cabanas. All have private bathrooms with showers and traditional fabrics & furnishings. Forest and plaza view cabanas are situated in the main forest clearing and there are two more spacious cabanas which can be accessed through a raised walkway on the other side of the creek.

Meal times at Pooks Hill are a great time to get to know the other guests and share your experiences. Delicious Mayan, Belizean & European dishes are served buffet style around a large dining table. As well as the dining room the main lodge features a well stocked bar and lounge area – perfect for pre and post dinner drinks or for relaxing after a day of adventures!

Bird watching, jungle walks, swimming, tubing and night walks are all available on your doorstep. Further afield, you can visit Mayan ruins, go caving, and visit the baboon sanctuary.
