Hotel Overview

Where

On the shore of the New River Lagoon in the Orange Walk district of northern Belize, amidst the remnants of an ancient Maya city. Accessed only by the lake you'll arrive in style by speedboat accompanied by your guide who will point out wildlife along the way.

Rooms at Lamanai Outpost Lodge

The emphasis here is on the quality of your jungle experience so the property has limited its number of rooms to just twenty wooden cabanas. Most of these have a queen or king size bed and some can be converted to triples or family rooms. Each comes with its own mini fridge, and verandah – perfect for relaxing on after a hectic day of jungle activities.

Food and Facilities

The property has an all-inclusive package, with a variety of choices for breakfast, and a fixed two-course lunch and three-course dinner. The food is of an excellent standard and combines local and international dishes – all enjoyed with panoramic views of the lagoon & gardens. There is also a small library and lounge area for chilling out between activities.

Activities at Lamanai Outpost Lodge

Two standard activities are included in your package for every night you stay, and are operated by the lodge’s highly experienced and knowledgeable guides. You can look forward to a dawn jungle tour, sunrise canoe trip, Lamanai ruins tour, Maya medicine trails, and a stoplight night safari. At an additional cost you can try howler monkey spotting, fishing with spears, or jetting across the wetlands at sunset on an airboat!
