Hotel Overview

Nuwara Eliya, within the picturesque hill country of Sri Lanka’s Central Province.

Rooms at Heritance Tea Factory

Fairly large in size, this converted tea factory houses over 50 bedrooms in total, each famed for their exceptional views. Large wooden framed windows gaze out over the plantations, creating wonderfully light, quiet rooms.

Food and Facilities

Housed inside the former sitting room of the tea factory, the main restaurant offers local cuisine within it’s a la carte and buffet options. For something a little different, try the Chena Menu to sample authentic Heritage cuisine, or opt for the special tea menu for a three course tea-themed feast. Yet perhaps the most exclusive option is dining on the hotel’s unique converted railway carriage restaurant. Originally used to transport tea, this former freight train will take you on a journey through the plantation while you dine on sumptuous global cuisine by candlelight.

Activities at Heritance Tea Factory

Unsurprisingly, tea-themed activities are the main attraction here. Try your hand at tea plucking and tasting sessions or go on a nature trek through the plantations. Children are also well looked after with a playground on site and pony rides on offer within the grounds.
