98 Acres is nestled in Bandarawela, amidst Sri Lanka’s stunning tea country.

Rooms at 98 Acres

There is just a handful of individual villas, set in the rolling hills of the Sri Lanka highlands, providing the perfect viewing platform for a sensational backdrop. Natural cut stone and polished timber floors lead through the living areas to a private veranda, ideal for sitting back and enjoying the seemingly endless and breathtaking views.

Food & Drink

Dine on delicious Sri Lankan, continental and far Eastern delicacies while imbibing the sweeping views from the restaurant’s bird's-eye location. Later, finish off your evening with a tea-infused cocktail from Bar 98: a uniquely designed bar constructed using recycled timber from old railway sleepers.

Cool off from the Sri Lankan sun with a refreshing dip in the pool, or relax poolside, and unwind in the spa with soothing treatments using natural products such as tea and plants grown on the tea estate, while taking in the magnificent views over the valley.

Activities at 98 Acres

Try your hand at tea-plucking and learn the painstaking steps taken to producing your morning cup of Ceylon tea with the resident expert. An afternoon walk to the top of Little Adam’s Peak takes you to nearly 3500ft, where you can admire the spectacular sight of the tea plantation and Ravana Ella Falls below. Alternatively, take your swimmers along to Bambaragama Falls and enjoy a dip below Sri Lanka’s second highest waterfall!
