Wild Coast Tented Lodge is found right on the border of the Yala National Park, a top game-viewing location.

Rooms at Wild Coast Tented Lodge

The stylish and spacious Cocoon suites have teak floors and high vaulted ceilings, and feature plush four-poster beds, handmade copper bathtubs, mini-bars and air conditioning, with gorgeous jungle and beach views. Some have private plunge pools, and others are dotted around watering holes where you can see a wide variety of wildlife and birds from your viewing deck. There are also larger suites that are perfect for families.

Food & Drink

When it comes to dining, you certainly won't go hungry - as well as hearty breakfasts, you can expect afternoon cream teas and snacks in-between excursions. Feast on gourmet Sri Lankan cuisine such as barbecues and spicy tandoori platters in the open-air Dining Pavilion and afterwards, linger over a drink or two at the bamboo-clad Ten Tuskers bar.

For a special occasion, indulge in a romantic dinner under the stars in the beach garden, or have a picnic on the sand dunes as the sun sets over the ever-blue Indian Ocean.

Unwind after a trip to the park in the large inviting outdoor pool or at the spa, which offers a range of treatments designed for ultimate relaxation. The treatments use locally-sourced ingredients such as Ceylon tea and cinnamon to leave you feeling refreshed and pampered. 

Activities at West Coast Tented Lodge

Enjoy expert guided tours and nature walks into the quietest corners of the park to see elephants and sloth bears as well as leopards, and learn more with fascinating lectures and workshops. You can also visit the ancient Buddhist sites of the area, such as the rock temple of Sithulpawwa, which also offers panoramic views over the park.
