Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Colombo Court Hotel & Spa sits in a fashionable neighbourhood in the heart of Colombo, just beside Duplication Road – a major avenue lined with independent fashion boutiques, top-scale restaurants and stylish bars.

Rooms at Colombo Court Hotel & Spa

Each room is different at Colombo Court, but all boast a look which is at once traditional and modern. Furniture is hewn from dark wood, while floors are made from eco-friendly polished cement; tasteful, muted colour schemes are offset by bright splashes of colour.

Superior Deluxe Rooms open onto peaceful courtyards, while the luxurious suites feature carved wooden four-poster beds, iMacs, and personalised butler service. Whichever room type you choose, you’ll find fast Wi-Fi, smart TVs and lovely bathrooms with rain showers.

Food & Drink

The hotel’s flagship restaurant, the Scarlet Room, is an atmospheric space where Sri Lankan and European cuisines meet in a beautiful fusion: expect to try dishes like stuffed chicken roulade in masala sauce and jumbo prawns with basil risotto.

Cloud Café is the place to go to enjoy pizzas and paninis, along with a varied cocktail menu, on a rooftop terrace beneath the stars, while the Loft Lounge Bar is a sleek industrial-chic style space serving a huge array of alcoholic and soft drinks. There’s also Amber, a bar beside the outdoor pool.

The courtyard plunge pool is a lovely place to relax with a drink in hand. Alternatively, curl up with a book in the cosy, colonial-style library.

If you’ve got energy to burn, head for the hotel’s modern gym, before enjoying a well-earned rest at the Amber Spa, a luxurious space where a range of traditional Balinese therapies are on offer including warm stone massages and aromatherapy.

Activities at Colombo Court Hotel & Spa

Close to home, Gangaramaya and Seema Malaka are both beautiful Buddhist temples and some of the most important places of worship in the capital, while Galle Face Green is a peaceful oceanfront park great for people-watching and getting a feel for the pace of life in the city.

Other highlights include the Colombo Lighthouse and the Old Cargills Building. Further afield, day trips will take you to Kandy, where you’ll visit more serene temples.
