Sukoon Houseboat

The Sukoon Houseboat cruises on Dal Lake in Kashmir, framed by the majestic snow-capped Pir Panjal Mountains.

The cabins are all wood panelling and turquoise wall hangings, and are ultra-spacious for a houseboat. They all have bathrooms with a bath and shower, and wide windows that offer beautiful views over the lake.

The Sukoon Houseboat provides plenty of spaces for relaxing, from the large living room to the sundeck, which commands 360-degree views of the lake. Relax here with a good book on one of the sunloungers beneath the shade of a parasol, looking out over the lake and watching shikara boats going back and forth.

Potter around Dal Lake on a traditional shikara boat to soak up the lakeside lifestyle, and peer into the water to admire the pretty water lilies that grow here. Don’t miss the fruit and vegetable market in Srinagar's Old Town, which is held every morning, where you can also go on a walk through and navigate narrow alleyways, Islamic bridges and the Shah Hamdan Mosque - one of the oldest in Srinagar, it dates back to 1395.
