Hotel Overview

Sense of place

Barefoot at Havelock sits right on the beautiful Radhanagar Beach – considered one of the beaches in Asia.

Rooms at Barefoot at Havelock

Hardwood walls, conical thatched roofs and palm leaves make up the well-appointed cottages and beautifully designed villas. They are raised on stilts and scattered amongst the tropical foliage, connected by winding pathways. The villas and cottages offer large, inviting beds, floor-to-ceiling windows with garden views and large bathrooms.

The most stylish of the lot, the fan-cooled Nicobari Villa, comprises of two circular structures, mimicking traditional huts used by the local tribe on the Nicobar Islands, with a roof constructed entirely out of intricately woven leaves. It has a large four-poster bed, designer light fittings and a private courtyard, making it ideal for a romantic break or honeymoon.

Food & drink

The restaurant serves a menu of fusion continental and Indian dishes, created using organic ingredients. As the hotel is located on an island, fresh seafood features most prominently, and the nightly special is usually brought in from the fishing boats a few hours before dinner – think of courses of whole fish steamed in banana leaves or huge tiger prawns in a delicious curry.

The chilled-out bar near the lobby is a great spot to hang out after dinner. Order a minty mojito or try a glass of Indian wine, and sit on the bolstered divans playing games or reading into the night.

Facilities

Discover the healing powers of coffee by having a signature massage in the hotel’s spa. It uses a combination of acupressure techniques and oils blended with coffee extracts to leave you feeling pampered yet energised.

Activities at Barefoot at Havelock

The warm waters of the sea are perfect for snorkelling and swimming. Take a dunghi and go fishing for your dinner, go kayaking around the calm mangroves or stick to land and walk through the rainforest to spot exotic birds and wildlife.
