Hotel Overview

Sense of place

Right on the beautiful Raqdhanagar beach – considered one of the beaches in Asia.

Rooms at Barefoot at Havelock

Hardwood walls, conical thatched roofs and palm leaves make up the well-appointed cottages and beautifully designed villas. They are raised on stilts and scattered amongst the tropical foliage, connected by winding pathways. The villas and cottages offer large, inviting beds, floor-to-ceiling windows with garden views and large en suite bathrooms.
The most stylish of the lot, the fan-cooled Nicobari Villa comprises of two circular structures, mimicking traditional huts used by the local tribe on the Nicobar Islands, with a roof constructed entirely out of intricately woven T leaves. It has a large four-poster bed, designer light fittings and a private courtyard, making it ideal for a romantic break or honeymoon.

Food and drink

The restaurant serves a menu of fusion Continental and Indian dishes, created using organics ingredients. As the hotel is located on an island, fresh seafood features most prominently and the nightly special is usually brought in from the fishing boats a few hours before dinner – think of courses of whole fish steamed in banana leaves or huge tiger prawns in a delicious curry.
The lazy bar near the lobby is a great hangout after dinner. Order a minty mojito or try an Indian wine and sit on the bolstered divans playing games or reading into the night.

Discover the healing powers of coffee by having an Oma Signature massage in the hotel’s spa. It uses a combination of acupressure techniques and oils blended with coffee extracts to leave you feeling pampered yet energized.
