Hotel Overview

Sense of place

The Old Harbour Hotel is just a short walk from the waterfront and Mahatma Gandhi beach and not far from attractions such as the Mattancherry Palace.

Rooms at Old Harbour Hotel

The spacious rooms each have an individual style, and are named after historic streets in Fort Kochi. They have antique furnishings, four-poster beds, beautiful artworks, marble bathrooms and high ceilings, and look out over the tranquil courtyard and its fountain. The garden cottages have open-air showers, pretty verandas and private ponds.

Food & drink

Enjoy a breakfast of homemade breads and freshly-squeezed juices in the restaurant, with its terracotta-tiled floors and wooden-beamed ceiling. Later in the day, tuck into fresh seafood, quality meats and organic vegetables in the 1788 restaurant, which offers Indian and European cuisines.

There is a tasty barbecue every night, and the chef can also whip up requested dishes to suit you. For dessert, the pannacotta comes highly recommended!

Facilities

There’s a pool and a spa offering Ayurvedic treatments, or unwind with a complimentary yoga session. Relax on the terrace, and watch cultural performances in the beautiful gardens.

Activities at Old Harbour Hotel

The hotel is opposite Nehru Park, and there are boutique shops, markets and bustling cafés nearby, where you can immerse yourself in Cochin’s eclectic melting pot of cultures. Visit the church of St Francis, India’s oldest church, where Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama is buried, and explore the waterfront, where you can see ancient Chinese fishing nets, and stroll along a coastal path by the Arabian Sea.

Further afield, travel the beautiful backwaters of Kerala on a houseboat (an hour away) and visit the hills of the Western Ghats (four hours away).
