Hotel Overview

Sense of place

On the secluded and unspoilt Marari beach, one hour south of Cochin.

Rooms at A Beach Symphony

There are four traditional Keralan cottages at A Beach Symphony, with plenty of character, including antique furnishings, wooden-beamed ceilings, carved wood features and whitewashed walls. They come with air conditioning and private open-air tropical showers. Some have private plunge pools – an idyllic way to cool off after a day in the sun. While away the days on your veranda, in the surrounding private gardens as butterflies flit above, or on the beach, in a sun lounger or hammock, looking out over the sea.

Food and drink

There is no restaurant - delicious meals, including the catch of the day and traditional Keralan favourites such as fragrant curries, are cooked to order by the chef and served on your veranda – or enjoy a candlelit dinner in the gardens or on the beach.

Activities at A Beach Symphony

Take a good book to the beach’s golden stretch of sand, and find your spot in the sun or beneath the shade of a palm tree, before heading to the pretty granite pool for a swim, which is surrounded by lush green lawns. Relax with an Ayurvedic massage in the Ayur Kutiram, which overlooks the Arabian Sea, and watch the sunset on the beach, as dolphins surf on the waves. For something more active, enjoy a mountain bike tour around the coast, or take a tuk tuk to visit local churches, temples and markets. Further afield, visit historic Fort Kochi (just over an hour away) and the beautiful Vembanad Lake, or explore Kerala’s enchanting backwaters on a traditional houseboat.

Hotel location

Cochin International Airport is less than two hours away, and the hotel is also within driving distance of houseboat tours on Kerala’s tranquil backwaters. The coastal route from Cochin takes longer but is gorgeous and well worth the journey.
