Hotel Overview

Sense of place

The Lodhi is just ten minutes from Connaught Place and 1km from the tomb of the famous Mughal Emperor Humayun, and is 3km from India Gate and Pragati Maidan.

Rooms at The Lodhi

Each room, the size of a small apartment, has an extensive balcony with private plunge pool and those on the upper floors have great views over to Humayun’s Tomb. The interiors are serene and simple with powdery-blue pillows, beige carpets and king-sized beds.

Once you’ve been shown to your room, drop your bags and head through the intricately carved screens onto your private terrace for a heady scent of fresh flowers and a scenic view to match – best enjoyed from a Deluxe Room, poised over the hotel’s lawns and gardens.

Food & drink

The award-winning Indian Accent restaurant, which is considered to be one of the world's best restaurants, offers fine, inventive Indian cuisine, fusing the traditions of India with global ingredients and techniques. The Elan restaurant runs along the water-feature pool and focuses on delicious Indian, Southeast Asian and Mediterranean cuisine, while there's also Perbacco for Italian favourites and the Pool Café for snacks and drinks.

Facilities

The hotel has a top-notch spa with a range of Indian and international therapies and treatments, and there's a steam and sauna room, a salon and an inviting swimming pool. There are separate male and female hammams with plunge pools of varying temperatures to rejuvenate the body, while the gym offers yoga lessons to calm the mind.

If you're looking for some contemporary inspiration, then visit the art gallery, or if your tastes are a bit more old school, the Cigar Lounge is the ideal place to retreat to, with its leather armchairs and premium cigar collection.

Activities at The Lodhi

Go on a rickshaw tour of the narrow lanes of Old Delhi, walk through the surrounding neighbourhoods to purchase local crafts and jewellery from the traditional markets or learn from the professionals and take a cooking lesson in The Lodhi Kitchen.
