Hotel Overview

Sense of place

Set near the banks of the river, in one of the oldest living cities in the world.

Rooms at Nadesar Palace

The ten rooms and suites, each with a four-poster bed and large marble bathroom with a claw-foot bath, are adorned with works of art from the Maharaja's collection, alongside historic refurbished interiors including spacious master bedrooms and living areas. The rich colours are inspired by the jasmine and marigold flowers in the surrounding gardens, as well as the pink lotuses that are traditionally offered to the Ganges.

Food and drink

Start the day with breakfast on the veranda, followed by a gourmet lunch and a barbecue by the pool in the evening. If you are looking for a more formal meal, the indoor dining area is ornately decorated and offers both local Indian and international cuisine – perfect for a romantic evening in.

Facilities

Mixing ancient Indian treatments with modern techniques, the soothing Jiva Spa offers an array of signature massages, rejuvenating yoga sessions and mediation classes in the pavilion.

Activities at Nadesar Palace

Wake up and stretch your limbs with a morning yoga session before going for a nature walk, a round of golf or heading straight into the colourful centre of Varansi. Alternatively, ask the Palace Butlers to help arrange unique activities during your stay, such as a river cruise, a Benarais chai experience and an Indian BBQ accompanied by sitar and tabla players.
