Weather and Climate
Mauritius enjoys year-round tropical heat, although the southeast trade winds never make it too humid. The summer months are from December to April and it is cooler & drier from May to November.
Coastal temperatures range between 25°C and 33°C in summer and between 18°C and 24°C in winter.
July and August can experience strong winds on the east coast and it is advisable to stay away from resorts on this side of the island during this time.
Location and Geography
Mauritius is a volcanic island in the Indian Ocean situated to the east of Mauritius. It has a small coastal plain rising to discontinuous mountains encircling the central plateau.
