Soneva Fushi is on the island of Kunfunadhoo, one of the largest islands in the Maldives, in the beautiful Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Rooms at Soneva Fushi

Soneva Fushi has several spacious villas scattered along the white sandy coastline and over the water, with direct access to the beach or the water. Ranging from one to nine bedrooms, there is something for everyone. They have private terraces for taking in the views, and some their own walk-in mini-bars and wine cellars, as well as their own pools and private gardens (the outdoor garden bathrooms are to die for).

There are spacious family suites, and there are also retreats and villas with their own kitchens, spas and fitness rooms, making them a rather idyllic home from home. There is a five-bedroom villa with an 11-metre-high viewing tower, a water slide, a gym, a library, sauna and steam rooms, a TV room and snooker and foosball tables.

The Water Retreats are some of the largest overwater villas in the world (the two-bedroom Water Retreats are over 850 square metres). They feature natural sustainable woods, and come with glass floors, pools suspended over the ocean, expansive pool decks and water slides into the azure waters - bliss!

Food & Drink

The bars and restaurants offer gourmet food and irresistible drinks, from Mediterranean specialities to Japanese cuisine, and offers everything from a chocolate room and a cheese room to homemade ice cream in a wide range of flavours. 

Soneva Fushi places an emphasis on sustainable tourism, and are proud winners of the Maldivian president's Green Resort Award. Pick your greens for dinner in the organic gardens, accompanied by the chef, and feast on the exquisite results at the appropriately-named Fresh in the Garden, on a panoramic table perched above the gardens, surrounded by banana trees. 

For an extra-special dining experience, enjoy a gourmet lunch on a desert island, prepared for you by your personal chef.

As always in the Maldives, there's an excellent spa, guaranteed to relax and revitalise you with a wide range of treatments, featuring oils from local coconuts and Tibetan hot stones. 

Activities at Soneva Fushi

Feeling sporty? Tennis, cycling and table tennis are all available, as well as water sports from surfing, windsurfing and catamaran sailing to diving, and you can also indulge in some island hopping and visit remote and beautiful reefs for some incredible snorkelling, with the chance to witness hundreds of manta rays.

Arty types can browse the art gallery and take a glass blowing class, and the Den offers a range of additional activities and adventures for the younger members of the family, while the Soneva Academy has fun educational courses on subjects such as the marine life and the night sky in the Maldives, and navigation on land and sea.

In the evening, take in a classic movie at the beautiful open-air Cinema Paradiso, where the screen sits on the beach, and gaze at the stars at the romantic observatory.
