Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

The Six Senses Laamu has an idyllic and secluded setting amongst the palm trees and white sands of the Laamu Atoll.

Rooms at Six Senses Laamu

Immerse yourself in the tree-lined luxury of a beach villa, nestled in the tropical landscapes, or float above the lagoon in a water villa, where you can jump into the sea for a swim, snorkel in the lagoon or relax in your overwater netting hammock, before soaking up the sun on a sun lounger on your deck or around your glass-bottomed table, watching the colourful fish glide below.

Built from fully sustainable materials, these plush palm-thatched villas feature supremely comfortable beds, hi-tech amenities, outdoor bathrooms with rainfall showers and sunken glass bathtubs, and private decks with uninterrupted ocean vistas. Some also come with their own private pools, private water gardens and treetop decks, for additional VIP luxury.

Food & Drink

Indulge in flavours from around the world at several bars and restaurants, from gourmet Mediterranean dishes at signature restaurant Leaf to exquisite Japanese fusion cuisine at the Zen restaurant, created from fresh produce grown in the hotel's organic gardens and on neighbouring islands. Speaking of treats, those with a sweet tooth will love the chocolate studio - plus over 40 flavours of homemade ice cream!

Enjoy al fresco breakfasts in the morning sunshine at Longitude, and take your pick from a wide-ranging menu including eggs cooked any way you like, brioche with fresh tropical fruits, gourmet cheeses and charcuterie. Return in the evening for delicious themed dinners, featuring fresh fish caught that day as well as grilled meats, pasta dishes and much more.

Facilities

There is a spa offering award-winning signature treatments in unique 'treatment nests' dotted along the beach or amongst the greenery. Unwind with a soothing Ayurvedic massage or facial, or enjoy meditation and yoga in the open-air rooftop studio, followed by a healthy and delicious smoothie at the juice bar.

Enjoy a refreshing dip in the large and inviting free-form pool, and chill out after your swim with cocktails, homemade pizzas and juicy burgers at the poolside bar, accompanied by live music.

Activities at Six Senses Laamu

Snorkel and dive into the underwater world of the house reef, spotting parrotfish, turtles and an abundance of marine life - and find out more about the hotel's award-winning marine conservation initiative. Alternatively, go kayaking to the neighbouring islands, surf the Yin Yang, the Maldives’ most famous surfing wave, or enjoy a leisurely sunset dolphin-spotting cruise in a traditional dhoni.;

At the end of the day, settle down to watch a movie on the beach under the stars, complete with homemade popcorn.

There is a range of activities and adventures to keep children entertained, from baking cookies to going on a treasure hunt.
