The Maldives: home to crystal blue seas, powder sand beaches, world-class diving and an abundance of sensational resorts, it’s tough deciding where to go. However, with a beach to rival all beaches, an island of astounding natural beauty and a resort offering five-star luxury facilities and services, the award-winning Kanuhura makes a terrific choice.

Perfect forCouples and families looking for a slice of Maldives luxury.
In the knowThe beaches in the Maldives are sensational and in our opinion Kanuhura has one of the very best. The spectacular sandy beach has no rocks and fringes crystal-clear turquoise water that is the perfect depth - not too shallow and not too deep.

Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Kanuhura has an idyllic setting on the remote Lhaviyani Atoll in the Maldives, surrounded by beautiful gardens and pristine beaches.

Rooms at Kanuhura

The beautiful villas come with luxurious interiors and private verandas overlooking the azure lagoon. They are positioned around the island, to make the most of the sunrise and sunset.

Food & Drink

There are several restaurants and bars to choose from. Try exquisite Maldivian specialities at Dagas, have a delicious Brazilian beach barbecue at Fogo, lit by candlelight and the stars, and savour the delicious Italian food at Bottega, where you can choose your favourite wine from the extensive cellars. For an extra-special occasion, enjoy an exclusive private dinner for two on the beach. Fresh ingredients for the dishes come from the chef's garden, where you can choose the herbs and spices to accompany your meal. If you're feeling inspired, take a cooking class.

You can enjoy refreshing drinks and jazz at the elegant Cowry Club, while the Iru bar is the place to be as the sun goes down, cocktail in hand. Or how about champagne and oysters on a sunset cruise onboard the Dhoni, accompanied by music? This floating restaurant also offers a breakfast with a difference - a perfect way to start the day.

Facilities include a large freshwater pool and an irresistible spa (it wouldn’t be the Maldives without a fabulous spa), where you can unwind at the beachside spa pavilion. There's also a beauty salon and a stylish boutique to browse in, and you can also relax with a book in the Fendaa Lounge.

Activities at Kanuhura

There is an abundance of activities to choose from - Kanuhura offers beach volleyball, two floodlit tennis courts, an air-conditioned squash court, table tennis and a games room, as well as yoga and aerobics – and that’s just on land. On the water there are speedboats, canoes and jet-skis. There is also a diving centre, to ensure you make the most of the fantastic snorkelling and diving on offer here - this is a chance to see a wide range of marine life, including sea turtles. Take a trip around the coast on a luxury catamaran, or head to sister island Jehunuhura, where you can take advantage of private seafront cabanas and have a picnic on the beach or dine at the Drift restaurant.

For younger members of the family, there is a children's club offering a wide range of island adventures as well as educational nature programmes.

If you prefer to take it easy, simply relax on the beach, while children young and old will love the beach swing, strung between the palm trees.
