Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Gili Lankanfushi sits on the tiny sandbar of Lankanfushi just off the North Male Atoll.

Rooms at Gili Lankanfushi

The overwater suites, complete with ‘water gardens,' open-air bathrooms, sundecks and rooftop terraces, are connected to the island by private walkways or jetties, while the residences are accessible only by row boat. Some villa suites have a private infinity pool, and there are family villas which come with two bedrooms, a pool, a rooftop terrace and a family room, while the residences come with an impressively-sized pool as well as a large catamaran net suspended above the sea. Whichever you choose, relax and enjoy the uninterrupted views over the Indian Ocean.

The private reserve at Gili Lankanfushi is the pinnacle of decadence - sitting atop an aquamarine lagoon, this private palace comes complete with your own personal butlers.

Food & Drink

Enjoy fresh sushi and sake at the By the Sea restaurant, and dine on gourmet traditional Maldivian favourites at the signature restaurant Kashiveli, which sits right on the beach (its name means 'coral sands' in the local Dhivehi language). There's also an international 'market' experience some evenings, with an Asian Street Market and a Mediterranean Spice Souk, as well as Maldivian seafood nights. You will be sampling some of the best cuisine in the Maldives, including some of its freshest seafood and produce from the hotel's own organic garden.

At sunset, have a tropical cocktail or two at the overwater bar, perched on stilts above the lagoon.

Facilities

Unwind at the splendid overwater spa, and observe the colourful underwater world from your massage table.  If you're not relaxed enough after that, watch your favourite film in the jungle cinema.

Activities at Gili Lankanfushi

The natural aquarium right on your doorstep offers wonderful swimming, snorkelling and diving, or try your hand at deep-sea fishing, Hobie Cat sailing or windsurfing.

Do some island hopping and visit the tiny island of Huraa, a 20-minute boat ride away, to meet the locals and find out more about traditional handicrafts. Enjoy an idyllic sunset cruise, watching dolphins as they make their way from the atoll to fish at night, and take to the skies on a scenic seaplane flight over the islands.
