The gorgeous villas are light, airy and spacious, with interiors of natural wood and marble, and they all come with high raftered ceilings, a private plunge pool and a furnished terrace. The beach villas are set by the sands, with sea views and private gardens with a sun terrace – and the double-storey villas offer even more space and luxury. The water villas are perched above the azure lagoon, with sun decks and direct sea access.

Food & Drink

You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to dining. The Jahaz restaurant provides excellent buffet-style breakfasts and dinners, offering delicious cuisine from around the world, as well as barbecues and themed evenings. Visit the wine cellar, where sommeliers will share their knowledge and recommendations of delicious wines from around the world to accompany your meal.

The Meeru beach restaurant offers a la carte grilled meats and fresh seafood on the beach. For sushi lovers, Kaika Sushi, a sand-floored sushi bar overlooking the lagoon, is a must – and you can watch the delicate creations being made. The Jing restaurant is located half way along one of the longest piers in the Maldives, and serves delicious Mediterranean/Asian fusion cuisine, and this is also a perfect spot for a candlelit dinner, overlooking the water. The funky bar area is ideal for enjoying daytime snacks and drinks as well as pre and post-dinner tropical cocktails.

Facilities

Have a dip or soak up the sun by the inviting pool, and visit the spa for some blissful relaxation – its range of treatments, such as classic massages, come courtesy of skilled therapists, and feature natural products inspired by plants from the Indian Ocean. The treatments are customised to suit you, and are guaranteed to leave you rejuvenated. The spa also has a sauna, a steam room, a yoga room and hot and cold plunge pools.

A tennis court and well-equipped gym will keep the sport-mad busy, or head out to sea – the hotel has a PADI dive centre and this area is renowned for its excellent scuba diving and snorkelling, with a technicolour underwater world beneath the surface. Guests can also try their hand at deep water fishing, windsurfing or paddle boarding, or simply enjoy a leisurely and scenic sunset cruise.

The excellent children’s club provides many games, books and learning facilities, and everything from cooking classes to movies, to keep all ages occupied whilst parents relax.
