Hotel Overview

Sense of place

Kinross House is built in the classical style, and is perfectly preserved. It sits in 100 acres of grounds which encompass neatly manicured lawns, landscaped gardens and forest, on the shores of Loch Leven.

Rooms at Kinross House

The house's 24 bedrooms each have their own design, but all combine opulence and luxury with a homely, traditional atmosphere. Some have plush carpets, others wooden floors, and some have quiet, muted colours, while others are lavishly painted in regal golds, purples and reds. Many have marble fireplaces and ornately-carved four-poster beds, while the bathrooms combine a traditional look with modern features like power showers.

Food & drink

You’re enjoying exclusive use of Kinross House, which means that meals are tailored to your own preferences rather than following a menu. Whatever you choose to eat, you’ll be blown away by the gourmet cuisine, which makes extensive use of produce grown in the estate’s gardens, as well as meat caught or reared locally.

For a post-dinner digestif, head to the Whisky Library, where you can try a wide selection of varieties of Scotland’s national drink.

Facilities

The Coach House Spa is big enough to be a small hotel in itself, but is set aside for your relaxation, and has a sauna, a hydrotherapy pool and massage rooms to indulge in. Wellness treatments include aromatherapy, and you can also take Pilates classes.

Activities at Kinross House

The estate’s vast grounds are the backdrop for a wide range of outdoor activities, including clay pigeon shooting, falconry, archery, kayaking, trout fishing and island boat trips on the loch. For a true Scottish experience, Highland games events can be arranged, where you can try your hand at caber tossing, haggis hurling and hammer throwing, while enjoying whisky tasting, bagpipe music and other quintessential Scottish traditions.
