Sumahan on the Water is located on the Asian side of the Bosphorus in a village called Cengelkoy in the Uskidar district.

Rooms at Sumahan on the Water

There are just a handful of suites and rooms, each uniquely designed, making no two rooms the same. Each room and suite has polished hardwood floors, working fireplaces and panoramic Bosphorus views. The Family Loft Suites are spread over two levels and have their own garden.

Food & drink

Overlooking the Bosphorus, the Waterfront Restaurant has an international menu. The restaurant is casual and you can dine out on the terrace.

Facilities

Sumahan Wellness has a state-of-the-art gym and spa. Visit the Turkish hammam for a quintessential Turkish spa experience. Soothe your muscles and revitalise your skin with a deep scrub and foam massage.

When you want some downtime, the hotel has a library with 800 books which you can read in the lounge, in the garden or in your room. The books all have a Turkish focus, from Turkish cooking to culture and art and crafts.

Activities at Sumahan on the Water

Take a private water taxi across the Bosphorus and see Istanbul from a different perspective on the water. It is a scenic boat ride from the Asian side over to the European side of the Bosphorus, and once you arrive you can take the funicular to Beyoglu or a tram into the old city.
