Macakizi

Macakizi is set on the hillside of Turkbuku on the Bodrum peninsula, 40km from Bodrum airport and 22km from Bodrum town.

Modern in style but homely in feel, the rooms are decorated in white with shots of vibrant colours in the cushions and artworks. King-size beds feature in every room, and there are also sofa beds available. Welcome touches include remote-controlled blackout curtains and underfloor heating, while the private patios or balconies and deluxe bathrooms which have huge rain showers with sea views also add to the luxury experience.

The central multi-tiered decking area is where you’ll find the restaurant, the beach club and the bar, and where you’ll be whiling away the hours. Macakizi’s restaurant is a much sought-after venue for its attractive open-air setting – looking out over the azure sea – and its lip-smacking seafood created by talented chefs. Breakfast is a feast, with a buffet and made-to-order omelettes. In the evening, head down to the bar for frozen cocktails and champagne as you rub shoulders with the hip crowd.

The hotel has a fantastic pool to swim in or relax by, and there is a lovely spa which offers various pampering treatments. There are also Pilates classes available too.

When you’re not lounging on the sundeck with a book and a beer, you might be strolling down the beach at Golturkbuku, or setting sail on a gulet from Turkbuku. For party-goers, there’s a handful of nightclubs just down the road from Macakizi.
