The lodge is located 200kms deep into the Arctic Cricle and offers snow-covered Arctic landscapes as far as the eye can see just waiting to be explored.

Rooms at Fjellborg Arctic Lodge

Staying at Fjellborg Arctic Lodge means you and your family enjoy exclusive use of the Master Cabin, a homely multi-room log cabin decorated in a traditional style. The ground room features a large entertaining area, warmed by a wood burner, and three double bedrooms with additional bunkbeds. The first floor is taken up by the luxurious master bedroom, which has a king-sized bed. All the cabin’s rooms overlook Lake Vakkara.

Food & drink

Eating and drinking in the traditional Lappish way is part of the experience at Fjellborg, and local fish, game, berries, mushrooms and vegetables are all utilised to serve up delicious cuisine which you can enjoy either in the privacy of your cabin or in the Main Lodge. If you’re lucky to enough to come home with a catch from an ice fishing excursion, the chef can serve up the fruits of your labour when you get back.

Facilities

The Master Cabin features its own private sauna, which is perfect for warming up and relaxing after a day’s adventures in the wilderness. In the Main Lodge, there’s a lounge where you can enjoy drinks and snacks as you share stories of your Arctic adventures with staff.

Activities at Fjellborg Arctic Lodge

Experiencing the environment is what a stay at Fjellborg is all about, and dog-sled rides, snowmobile treks, ice fishing and ice sculpting are all on offer here. The family have 300 years of experience living in the region, and their expertise shines through in the guided activities you’ll enjoy. This is a great place to view the awe-inspiring aurora borealis, the Northern Lights, which wind their way through the sky in a stunning light show on clear winter nights - you’ll catch them if you’re lucky.
