Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

The Kempinski Hotel Bahia sits on the coastline of the Costa del Sol, overlooking the sea. Estepona is just a five-minute drive or a scenic 25-minute walk along the seafront (or take a bike), and Marbella is a 15-minute drive away.

Rooms at Kempinski Hotel Bahia

There are 145 deluxe and spacious rooms and suites, with sophisticated interiors including plush armchairs and marble bathrooms. Floor-to-ceiling windows and terraces look out over the award-winning tropical gardens, Marbella Bay, Estepona Beach and the sea – and you can see the coast of Africa on a clear day.

The exclusive suites come with dining areas with fireplaces, kitchenettes and lounges, as well as spacious terraces with panoramic views across the Mediterranean.

Food & Drink

The Kempinski offers a range of restaurants and bars, including the Baltazar Bar & Grill, a laid-back Spanish steakhouse, and the Spiler Beach Club, which sits right on the sand, where you can savour gourmet Mediterranean cuisine such as fresh fish and hearty paellas. Wake up to a delicious breakfast, which you can enjoy on the terrace in the morning sun. In the evening, take in the sunset over the ocean with a cocktail or two.

Facilities

Be pampered at the spa, which has six treatment rooms, and there's a romantic candlelit Aqua Suite for couples complete with duo massage tables and a Jacuzzi. The spa also has a Finnish sauna and a steam bath.

Have a swim in one of the three outdoor pools – which are never crowded so you’re guaranteed to find a spot to yourself. There’s also a 24-hour gym if you fancy a workout, with golf courses nearby.

As well as the pools and the beach, there is plenty on offer for families and children, including a kids club with activities such as painting and baking.

Activities at Kempinski Hotel Bahia

You can enjoy direct access to the beach from the hotel, and with an average of 325 days of sun a year, you’re practically guaranteed good weather – perfect for everything from relaxing on the sand to water sports.

It’s not just about the beach here though. Nearby Estepona is a beautiful, historic town, and it’s well worth exploring its whitewashed houses and flower-filled squares, while those craving more buzz and a vibrant nightlife can head to Marbella, or take in the designer boutiques and luxury yachts on the marina in Puerto Banus.

Further afield, head to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed mountaintop city of Ronda to gaze out over the El Tajo gorge from Puente Nuevo and taste the local wines, and visit the Alhambra and historic Moorish fortifications. You can even enjoy a day trip to Morocco - Tangier is just a short ferry ride away.

The Kempinski’s expert concierge team will give you their top local tips and help you make the most of your stay, such as booking tables at exclusive local restaurants – just chat to them at their desk in the lobby.
