Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

The Ritz-Carlton, Abama sits on a long coastline of golden sandy beaches on the south-west coast of Tenerife, surrounded by lush tropical gardens.

Rooms at The Ritz-Carlton, Abama

The inviting open-plan rooms, suites and villas are light and spacious, with marble bathrooms. All of the resort's suites and villas come with a private balcony or terrace with prime views over either the Atlantic Ocean, the golf course or the resort.

For even more privacy, the adults-only villas are in a more tranquil area set apart from the main resort and come with a personal attendant.

Food & Drink

The resort has several restaurants and bars, offering excellent and varied cuisine and tempting drinks. Taste the finest culinary delights at the Michelin-starred Japanese-fusion restaurant, Kabuki and elevated Basque cuisine at the two Michelin-starred restaurant M.B. Other cuisines include rustic and traditional Italian at Verona, and locally-sourced seafood is on the menu at El Mirador.

Facilities

Indulge in some rest and relaxation at the spa. Inspired by the resort's surroundings, the spa uses holistic therapies and indigenous ingredients to create bespoke treatments. Pamper yourself with their signature Earth, Wind and Fire treatment: a full-body experience involving local volcanic stones, a scalp massage and aloe vera hydration.

Keeping active is easy during your stay: there are several swimming pools and a tennis academy with several courts, while the state-of-the-art fitness centre overlooks the manicured gardens and the Atlantic Ocean.

Activities at The Ritz-Carlton, Abama

For golf enthusiasts, the 18-hole, par 72 golf course, designed by Dave Thomas, is one of Spain's toughest: it is accessible to players with high handicaps and is a challenge for the most experienced golfer.

The resort sits on the long coastline of golden sandy beaches, and has its own exclusive beach, which can be accessed via a glass funicular. We recommend sipping a cocktail from the Beach Club restaurant whilst watching the sun set.

If you are travelling with your family, there are fantastic facilities and activities for younger guests, which aim to make the most of the local environment and culture, as well as everything from colourful play areas to specially designed children's menus in the restaurants.
