Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Quinta da Bela Vista is set in two hectares of beautiful botanical gardens, not far from the sea and beaches. The hotel is on the outskirts of Funchal and its attractions, including museums and the cathedral.

Rooms at Quinta da Bela Vista

The rooms and suites have a classic style and come with antique furnishings, mini-bars, fresh flowers, marble bathrooms and floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies overlooking the botanical gardens, Funchal Bay and the mountains beyond. The penthouse suite accommodates up to four people and has a living room with a fireplace, kitchen and dining areas and a spacious private terrace.

Food & Drink

The hotel has several restaurants and bars, so there's plenty to choose from when it comes to wining and dining. Enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet in the Avista Navios restaurant, including fresh fruit and local breads, cheeses and meat, and later in the day head to the Bela Vista restaurant for an irresistible afternoon tea and a gourmet a la carte international menu.

After dinner, enjoy cocktails, local wines and live music by the pool, overlooking the mountains and the bay.

Facilities

There is a large outdoor heated pool with a sundeck for catching the rays, as well as tennis courts, a games room, a Jacuzzi, a sauna and a gym. The sprawling gardens are a lovely spot to relax in, while indoors there are cosy lounges and a library.

Activities at Quinta da Bela Vista

Head into downtown Funchal on the hotel's complimentary minibus to stroll along the harbour, visit the historic cathedral and sample Madeira's famous wine in one of the wine cellars.

Further afield, explore the tropical, volcanic landscapes of the island on scenic walking trails, while water sports such as diving and sailing are also on offer - or you can simply unwind by the pool.
