Martinhal Sagres Beach Family Resort sits in a protected national park on the beautiful Algarve coast, near the historic fishing port of Sagres.

The stylish rooms and suites are found in the main house and have sea views. The apartments, award-winning luxury villas and houses are fully equipped and most have a private pool, and all have a private balcony or veranda and superb views of the sea. The use of traditional materials such as timber, cork and wicker add a natural dimension to the sleek and modern interiors which are furnished in soft pastels.

For families, the houses offer the most space and privacy with the option for one, two or three bedrooms. The most secluded are the Bay Houses, and the Pinewood Houses offer the most privacy whilst not being too far from the main hotel.

Food & Drink

The O Terraco gourmet restaurant, which is located in the main hotel, offers essentially Portuguese cuisine prepared with a modern flourish. Head to As Dunas on the beachfront for the freshest fish and seafood, or the Village Square is the hub of the resort and provides a real sense of community. Here you'll find Os Gamozinos, a lively bistro-style café with a pizza oven. There's also a shop selling essentials for in-villa dining.

We'd suggest visiting the M Bar, for its surf-themed ambience, its live entertainment, and its dedicated kids bar with iPads and games, as well as its tasty fare - perfect for the whole family!

Facilities

Enjoy a rewarding treatment at the opulent Finisterra Spa, which caters for the whole family (even the little ones can enjoy baby massages and children's manicures). The resort also has several outdoor swimming pools, and a separate small toddler’s pool, as well as a gym, a multi-purpose sports field, artificial grass tennis courts and glass-sided Padel courts.

Besides thoroughly wearing yourself out soaking up the sun on the stunning beach, why not make use of the excellent water sports facilities at the Beach Club, or you can explore the golden coast of the Algarve by bike - borrow one from the resort's bike station.

The protected natural park surrounding the resort can also be explored by horseback or on foot. Fancy something new? Then try your hand at eco-karting (a go-kart with a sail)!
