Hotel Overview

Sense of place

The Thief is centrally located in Tjuvholmen, which is a power centre for contemporary art and good city living at the water’s edge.

Rooms at The Thief

The stylish rooms showcase designer furniture from national and international quality producers, selected by interior designer Wille Våge. From the balcony you can enjoy beautiful views of the fjord, and inside, curator Sune Nordgren has hand-picked contemporary art which inspires, surprises and creates a unique aesthetic experience. Hog the best views from the balcony at Deluxe Room 818, or take the disco-styled Apparatjik Suite which is bedecked in records and art installations.

Food & drink

At The Thief Foodbar, tuck into the tasting menus and sample Nordic delicacies like cod and reindeer. Enjoy perfect eggs at breakfast, alongside freshly baked bread and homemade pate. The Art Deco bar is where to sip delicious cocktails to a hip soundtrack, while the outdoor terrace is irresistible in the summer months. There are also two bars, so you won't be thirsty - one on the first floor and one on the rooftop.

Activities at The Thief

In Tjuvholmen, discover international-calibre restaurants, cosy eateries and high-quality galleries sitting side by side in pedestrianised streets and squares, and visit the Astrup Fearnley Museum, designed by Italian star architect Renzo Piano, which is the hotel’s nearest neighbour.
