Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

The Phoenicia Malta is housed in a building that is a local architectural landmark, and is set in an impressive seven acres of landscaped gardens full of trees and flowers, spreading to the historic fortified walls of Valletta’s entrance. Its unique vantage point ensures panoramic views over the city and the Grand Harbour as well as the town of Floriana.

Rooms at The Phoenicia Malta

The rooms and suites are light and airy with whitewashed walls, bright splashes of blue and pink, and spacious bathrooms. They are modern while retaining original features such as Maltese tiled floors, and also feature delicate Maltese fabrics.

The suites have spacious living areas, and some rooms have four-poster beds and private balconies for soaking up the Valletta views.

Food & Drink

The Phoenix restaurant is an elegant dining room which takes inspiration from the grand cafés of Europe. Savour the traditional tastes of Malta and Europe, including fresh juice made with Maltese oranges, as well as the freshest daily catch prepared by the expert chefs. Indulge in the a la carte dinner menu, and dine al fresco on the terrace to make the most of the warmer weather.

The poolside Bastion restaurant offers delicious seafood, pizza and salads, alongside homemade gelato. For a special treat, the afternoon tea at Palm Court is a must, while the Club Bar is the ideal spot for an evening drink as the sun sets after dinner.

Facilities

The infinity pool is perfect for a swim, and afterwards, relax on a lounger at the Bastion Pool Bar, under the Mediterranean sun, and take in the views of the harbour over the pool.

Activities at The Phoenicia Malta

The Phoenicia is just a short walk from the modern city gates and St John’s Co-Cathedral, as well as the waterfront, lined with bars and restaurants, and is a five-minute drive from the Grand Harbour. Explore Valletta’s historic attractions or head out on the water on a sailing trip. The hotel’s concierge team will give you their top local tips on what to do and see in this beautiful city.
