Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

The Hotel de la Ville has a simply unbeatable location at the top of the iconic Spanish Steps, and is also near many of the city's other unmissable sights.

Rooms at Hotel de la Ville

The luxurious and spacious rooms and suites are elegantly designed by Olga Polizzi and Tommaso Ziffer, and combine historic charm with contemporary flair. They are filled with eye-catching touches such as mustard-coloured sofas, plush fabrics, richly-patterned carpets on traditional wooden floors and objets d’art that take inspiration from the era of the Grand Tour and discovering new cultures, alongside stylish marble bathrooms.

From many rooms, you can soak up panoramic views over the rooftops of Rome, and some suites have their own private terraces.

Food & Drink

There are plenty of lovely spaces to relax over a meal or a drink or two. Head to Da Sistina, which is styled on a Roman trattoria, for a morning coffee and croissant or some classic Italian cuisine, and try the exquisite dishes from Michelin-starred chef Fulvio Pierangelini at Mosaico, whose fusion dishes feature Italian, African and Middle Eastern tastes.

In the evening, make your way to the rooftop Cielo Bar, lit by lanterns at night, to take in the city views, accompanied by the sounds of the DJ.

Facilities

The spa is perfect for a spot of pampering after a day of exploring. Bringing a slice of Sicily to Rome, its treatments feature fresh Sicilian botanicals from sister hotel Verdura Resort’s organic farm. Visit the thermal suite, which has a Mediterranean salt inhalation room, a sauna and an ice fountain.

Activities at Hotel de la Ville

Enjoy a pre-theatre menu at the hotel’s Da Sistina restaurant before catching a performance at Teatro Sistina just down the road. You can’t miss the Spanish Steps, just a stone’s throw away, and for a dose of serenity in the city, stroll around the beautiful gardens of Villa Borghese, where you’ll find a boating lake and even a replica of Shakespeare’s Globe.
