Hotel Overview

Sense of place

In the centre of Alberobello, where several ancient Trulli, the symbol of the town, have been beautifully restored.

Rooms at Le Alcove

There are just nine luxurious rooms and suites here, all individually themed after an ancient trade, such as poetry or weaving. They have plenty of pretty features such as four-poster beds beneath stone arches, mezzanine levels and high conical ceilings, with bathtubs set in alcoves decorated with mosaics of semi-precious stones, and showers with limestone pebbles.

Food and drink

For breakfast, tuck into local, freshly prepared fare, giving traditional flavours a modern twist (with eggs cooked however you like), and other touches in your room include fresh fruit in the morning and cookies in the evening. There are also several restaurants nearby to choose from for lunch and dinner.

Facilities

Ask about local attractions and tours, and take the hotel’s shuttle to the beautiful beaches of the Adriatic, which are just 30 minutes’ drive away.

Activities at Le Alcove

The main square, with its charming taverns, restaurants and shops, is on the doorstep, making it easy to explore. Immerse yourself more historic towns at Martina Franca and the cave dwellings at Matera, and visit museums of wine, crafts and architecture in Alberobello, including Pezzolla, the ancient residence of a doctor, which details the methods and techniques of the unique Trulli houses of the area.

Meanwhile, younger members of the family will love the Zoosafari Fasanolandia safari park, which has rides such as log flumes and rollercoasters as well as animals from tigers to elephants.
