Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Borgo Egnazia is in Savelletri di Fasano, between the Adriatic sea and the Puglian mountains, and sits snugly in the heel of Italy's boot.

Rooms at Borgo Egnazia

Borgo Egnazia was built entirely of limestone and local stone, created by skilled craftsmen and inspired by the simplicity of Puglia's ancient farmhouses and rural villages. The hotel's village concept provides the space and accommodation to suit both couples and families.

In La Corte, the main building there are rooms, all with panoramic views of the sea and hills, whilst Il Borgo has whitewashed houses, surrounded by exotic Arabian-inspired gardens. For the ultimate luxury, stay in one of the villas at Le Ville, and feel like you’re staying in your very own palazzo. The villas can sleep up to nine guests and have impressive private pools - more like Roman baths in size!

All of the rooms at Borgo Egnazia are decorated in fresh cream and white, with sumptuous fabrics and atmospheric lighting that complement the exposed stonework and rural details.

Food & Drink

Gelato by the pool... sea-breeze cocktails... fine a la carte dining in the warm glow of the evening: Borgo Egnazia combines gourmet traditional Italian flavours of the highest quality with evocative settings at its restaurants and bars.

The elegant Michelin-starred Due Camini restaurant, all limestone, wood and candlelight, offers exquisite Mediterranean cuisine, and is a perfect spot for dinner. You can also enjoy freshly-made pizza al fresco at Trattoria Mia Cucina and fresh seafood at Cala Masciola - pick up fish at the market and have it cooked as you wish - or enjoy it raw, or crudo, in true Apulian style. If you're coming as a family, you’ll be pleased to hear that Da Frisella is specially for children, with child-sized chairs and simple, delicious buffets.

Enjoy an aperitif at sunset and classic cocktails in the beautiful Bar del Portico. Real foodies can head into the nearby villages of Brindisi, Bari and Lecce and devour local delicacies including earthenware octopus and stuffed mussels.

Facilities

There are three large outdoor pools, one of which is heated, as well as a heated indoor pool, while if you're a tennis fan there are three tennis courts, while there is also an excellent paddle court (paddle lies halfway between tennis and squash!).

Unwind in the award-winning Vair spa, which utilises local ancient healing therapies in its unique treatments, or head to the boutique, Bottega Egnazia, for some quality downtime, where you'll find a games room and a reading room.

Younger members of the family will be entertained in style at the kids club, and there is also an impressive adventure playground.

Activities at Borgo Egnazia

Built between the beautiful translucent sea and the hilly villages of Puglia, Borgo Egnazia provides the perfect balance between scenic outdoor pursuits and unspoilt Italian culture. As well as an 18-hole championship golf course, there is go-karting, horse riding and a range of water sports at the two beach clubs.

Visit UNESCO-listed gems such as Alberobello, home to the cone-roofed trulli houses - icons of the ancient traditions of Puglia - and the beautiful Castel del MonteOnce you’ve worked up an appetite, and gained culinary inspiration from wandering around Puglia’s picturesque seafront villages, why not take one of Borgo Egnazia’s cooking courses? Or escape for a while to the small sandy beach with a snack bar, which is just 10 minutes away by shuttle bus.

If you need some inspiration, speak to one of the hotel's expert Local Advisers, who can go above and beyond to open closed doors, tell unheard tales, go off-map and reveal hidden treasures - with events and activities personalised to suit you.
