Villa Crespi

Location: Milan, Italian Lakes & Northern Italy | Italy

Price guide: £££££ £100-£200 per person per night

This decadent hotel derives from 1879 when a local cotton merchant built himself a private villa on the lakeshore. Having been inspired by one of his visits to Baghdad, Villa Crespi was styled to resemble a Moorish palace: today it is an opulent confection of ornate décor, manicured gardens and a two Michelin-starred restaurant, run by MasterChef Italy judge and Villa Crespi’s owner, Antonino Cannavacciuolo.
Perfect forCouples and families who want to live like sultans.
In the knowPoets, nobility and kings have stayed at Villa Crespi, particularly from the 1930s when it was acquired by the Marquis Fracassi of Torre Rossano.
