Hotel Overview

Sense of place

Both remote and accessible, Hotelito Lupaia is only 4 kilometres north of beautiful Montepulciano yet cocooned by the rolling green valleys and cypress trees of Tuscany’s most classic landscape.

Rooms at Hotelito Lupaia

Exposed ceiling beams painted soft greys, a jumble of unique headboards, stencilled chartreuse walls and wardrobes and heirloom mirrors - the rooms and suites at Hotelito Lupaia are unendingly boutique and romantic. Spread out amongst 5 ancient, ivy-covered farmhouses, each offers a lot of privacy and space, as well as its own terrace or garden.
For those who like a bit of swaddling, book the Deluxe Bassa for its intimate and cubbyhole-like atmosphere, created by the low and chunky ceiling beams. The room has a gorgeous green and yellow mosiaked bathroom, views that look out towards Montefollonico and an elegant chaise lounge capped by green and blue silk cushions.

Food & Beverages

Welcoming visitors in with delicious smells of freshly brewed coffee, homemade fruit tarts and cakes, and a fine selection of cheeses and meats, the open-kitchen restaurant is a lovely place to have your meals. Breakfast is served in the kitchen, decorated with red and white chequered tiles and large copper saucepans and pots, while lunch and dinner are served on the patio. Though the menu changes everyday, you can expect traditional Tuscan dishes and classic Italian favourites made with ingredients from the organic garden and nearby local market.

Surrounded by white umbrellas and sun loungers, the hotel has an infinity swimming pool from which water cascades into the hydromassage tub. Positioned on the western side of the property, the outdoor pool gets plenty of warm light in the evenings, making the views of the fields and Montefollonico stunning from the edge at sunset.

Activities at Hotelito Lupaia

The hotel can arrange for you to attend a cooking class or cheese tasting event or if you prefer to do things yourself, drive to the hilltop town of Montepulciano and explore its ancient squares and narrow streets, making sure to treat yourself to a glass of the famous red vino nobile. Head downhill to the exquisite church of San Biagio or borrow a mountain bike and pedal along the quiet country tracks.
