Hotel Overview

Where

A secluded, rural location in the Chianti wine region, 25 minute’s drive from Siena.

Rooms at Hotel Le Fontanelle

There are just 25 rooms at Hotel Le Fontanelle, which means you’ll get a really warm and personal service from your hosts. Inside is wonderfully rustic, with wooden shutters and beams, and terracotta floors. In the evenings you can sample a glass of Chianti's finest on your terrace, or in your small private garden. All have glorious views of the surrounding olive groves and wineries.

Food and Facilities

The food is just as delicious as you’d expect – laced with the estate’s olive oil, served in elegant surroundings, and enhanced with views of the countryside. In the summer months you can experience Al Fresco dining as it's meant to be with BBQs and live music on the terrace. To work up an appetite you can do a few lengths in the supremely located outdoor pool, and there’s also one inside, along with a Jacuzzi and Turkish bath.

Activities at Hotel Le Fontanelle

There are plenty of ways to appreciate the picturesque surroundings, including zipping around on a classic Vespa, and greeting the Tuscan sun with a hot air balloon ride. Further afield you can go wine tasting (it would be rude not to when in Chianti-shire!), and nearby there are charming villages and Medieval castles to visit. Babysitting can also be arranged.
