Brody House

Location: Budapest | Hungary

Price guide: £££££ £100-£200 per person per night

Brody House might just be the coolest hotel in Central Europe. Much like the ruin pubs you’ll find in Budapest, Brody House makes use of up-cycled furnishings and objets d’art to stylish effect, while grand 19th century features like vaulted ceilings and a sweeping staircase lend an air of faded opulence.
Perfect forHip couples or friends on a cultural break to Budapest.
In the knowBrody House is part of the Brody Group which has different venues across the city: a members’ club, Brody Studios; an art gallery and print studio, Brody ArtYard; and guests receive complimentary access to the members’ club events, such as comedy nights or literary dinners.

Hotel Overview

Where

Rubbing shoulders with historic mansions and the Hungarian National Museum, in Pest’s palace quarter.

Rooms at Brody House

Eclectic and trendy, rooms have been designed by different artists, and as such each has a distinct edge. Natural light pours in to illuminate exposed walls, reclaimed wood features and recycled furnishings: the approach to decor here is delightfully creative. Some rooms are accessed via the central courtyard, while others have balconies, kitchenettes or lounges.

Food and facilities

There’s no restaurant at Brody House but a freshly prepared continental breakfast spread is served daily until 11am, comprised of juices, fruit, pastries, cereal and yoghurt; you can also order dishes a la carte. Help yourselves to hot beverages at the complimentary tea bar, or try a Hungarian wine from the honesty bar.

Activities at Brody House

With the Hungarian National Museum right on your doorstep, be sure to pay a visit. Take a stroll down the Dunube River and relish views of Buda’s striking cityscape, before checking out some of the iconic thermal baths and grand palaces.
