Hotel Overview

Sense of place

Cape Sounio sits on the hillside, clinging to the edge of Sounio National Park, along the shores of a 20-acre estate. The small coastal town of Lavrio is just 6 miles away.

Rooms at Cape Sounio

The luxurious and shady rooms, suites, bungalows and villas are sprinkled across the hill, partitioned by stone-paved paths and olive trees. Decorated in earthy tones, they are spacious and open-plan, and most have superb sea and pool views.

If it’s just the two of you, go for a Deluxe Bungalow to enjoy your own pool surrounded by landscaped gardens, but if you’ve brought the whole family, consider the Deluxe Family Villa for plenty of space, a private pool and fabulous views from the pool deck.

Food & drink

From Greek and international dishes to creative Asian delicacies and fresh seafood, you have a lot of choice at Cape Sounio. If you don’t want to leave the poolside, grab some lunch at the Aegean Grill.

If you want to get out of the sun try the swing beds, which double as dining tables, at the funky So Oriental for fresh Asian cuisine, or if you feel like some fine dining, book a table at The Restaurant for Greco-French dishes and evening views of the floodlit Temple of Poseidon.

Facilities

A fairytale hideaway set in the national park, the kids club has a climbing wall, indoor and outdoor play areas, a swimming pool and enough land and water activities to keep them entertained for the duration of their stay.

If you are looking for something to do while the children are off having their epic adventures, the fabulous spa, with its indoor pool, sauna, gym, beauty salon and wonderful massages and treatments featuring Greek herbs and flowers, is a great place to spend the afternoon.

Activities at Cape Sounio

As well as climbing the hill to the famous archaeological site of the Temple of Poseidon, you can play tennis and beach volleyball, hike through Sounio National Park or board the hotel's private yacht for a cruise to the neighbouring islets. Alternatively, relax by the pool or on the beach, overlooking the Aegean, and enjoy a refreshing drink from one of the bars.
