Hotel Overview

Sense of place

Camvillia Resort is perched on a high hill, offering stunning views of the Gulf of Messenia and the olive groves of the surrounding countryside, and of the beach a kilometre down the hill. It feels far away from anywhere, although you can glimpse the picturesque town of Koroni down the coast.

Rooms at Camvillia Resort

The rooms and suites have a breezy, beachy feel, with sand and stone tones on the walls, floors and textiles, and minimalist, rustic-chic bathrooms. The ceilings are criss-crossed with whitewashed wooden beams, and the interiors are lit by sliding doors which open onto furnished terraces where you can relax and look out over the sea.

The Camvillia Private Pool Suite has a private terrace and pool - enjoy a relaxing dip with the spectacular Mount Taygetos in the background.

Food & drink

The Aelia restaurant serves up fantastic Greek and Mediterranean cuisine using fresh ingredients from the Peloponnese countryside and coast, with Messenian olive oil and local honey among the regional specialities. Start each day in classic Greek style with a breakfast of yoghurt and honey, fresh bread, tahini and cured meats. At lunch and dinner, tuck into fresh Greek salads and spinach and cheese pies, alongside beautiful seafood fresh from the Gulf of Messenia and traditional gourounopoula, a local dish of slow-cooked pork.

Facilities

The spa is a lovely space which combines a traditional décor with modern technology. Decked out in stone with a white and blue colour scheme, it has a classic Greek look, and there is a wide menu of wellness therapies on offer, including massages, body wraps and scrubs, using products made with flowers, herbs and other organic ingredients harvested from the surrounding area. Facilities include a hammam, a sauna and a gym, as well as an indoor swimming pool with lovely relaxation areas atmospherically lit by candles.

Activities at Camvillia Resort

Nearby Peroulia Beach is a beautiful stretch of golden sand, with sunloungers and parasols reserved for the use of the resort's guests - ideal for catching some rays or lounging in the shade.

If you’re feeling a bit more energetic, get the adrenaline pumping with water sports such as jet-skiing, sea kayaking and windsurfing. This unspoilt corner of the Peloponnese is ripe for exploration on foot or horseback, with hiking trails throughout the countryside and forests inland, while the nearby town of Koroni offers a lovely slice of traditional Greek coastal life. It has a fine Venetian castle, some pretty churches and fantastic seafood restaurants.
