Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Istoria sits right on the volcanic black sands of the 3km-long Perivolos Beach, on the relatively untouched eastern side of the island, where you can get away from it all in style.

Rooms at Istoria

This boutique hotel has just 12 spacious suites, guaranteeing privacy and seclusion. The attractive light, airy interiors are typical of Santorini’s minimalist, whitewashed style. Rustic textures, including wood and concrete elements, as well as pillars and curved arches, are paired with modern furnishings and decorative accents.

All suites have terraces, and most also have a hot tub or a pool. The Tarina Suite on the ground floor has its own pool, while the Storia Suite on the second floor has an expansive terrace with breathtaking sea views.

Food & Drink

Take in your surroundings while dining at the Mr E restaurant, which offers Greek dishes expertly created with locally-sourced vegetables from the hotel’s own organic garden and freshly-caught fish like tuna or octopus, which are paired perfectly with local wines. For an indulgent morning, wake up to a gourmet breakfast in bed.

Facilities

Visit the spa and treat yourself to various refreshing body and facial treatments, including wraps and massages, which use only the finest natural oils and techniques. Try the Aegean Sensation Candle Massage, a full-body massage featuring the warm drops from a scented candle, which is guaranteed to relax and rejuvenate.

There's also a striking pool featuring artisan tiles, complete with sun loungers and a sunken pool bar - perfect for a cocktail.

Activities at Istoria

A section of the beach in front of the hotel is reserved for guests, so find your own spot to relax and enjoy the sunset, or go for a horse ride along the sands.

Further afield, explore the pretty facades of Santorini’s villages, have a tour of local wineries and ancient vineyards, go diving to discover a colourful underwater world, or soak up the impressive views of the Aegean Sea with a glass of wine and a delicious traditional meal aboard a private cruise boat.
