Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Kalesma sits atop a hillside in Ornos Bay, in the south of Mykonos, offering a sense of seclusion but with the island on your doorstep to explore. Its elevated position ensures panoramic views over the Aegean Sea, guaranteeing the best spot for stunning sunrises and sunsets.

Only a 20-minute walk from Agios Ioannis Beach in one direction and Ornos Beach in the other, you have two of Mykonos’ sandy beaches within walking distance for a day by the sea’s edge. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to Ornos Beach, as well as to Mykonos Town.

Rooms at Kalesma

With only suites to call your home away from home, you are guaranteed an exquisite stay with no detail left forgotten. Calming neutral decor creates a luxurious and elegant feel, with wooden-beamed ceilings nodding towards the cosmopolitan beach vibe of the island.

All suites have an expansive private terrace with a heated infinity pool, with uninterrupted views of the Aegean which you can embrace from your double sun lounger and private dining area. After a day of exploring the island, unwind in your sunken bath tub and watch the waves through the window. Early birds will embrace the sunrise views that each and every suite has to offer.

Kalesma also has two villas, for even more space and luxury. With two or three ensuite bedrooms, living, kitchen and dining areas and a fitness area, alongside terraces with an infinity-edge pool, these make for the perfect getaway for friends or families. Villa guests can enjoy a butler service, as well as sunset views, for the ultimate VIP experience.

Food & Drink

True to the concept of Philoxenia, meaning ‘to embrace the outsider’, meals are a chance to come together at Kalesma. At the Pere Ubu restaurant, dine on delicious Mediterranean meals overlooking the sea, either in secluded settings perfect for romantic moments or at long high tables enticing guests to converse together.

Rejoice in a refreshing drink at the pool bar between dips, and after the sun sets on another day on the Greek island, wind down with a cocktail around the open fire pit at the al fresco Aloni lounge.

Facilities

As well as the irresistible infinity pool, which is simply perfect for cooling off in or relaxing by, you can pamper yourself with in-room spa treatments inspired by age-old Greek values of health, wellness and spirituality. Have a workout in the fitness centre, or relax with a yoga or Pilates session surrounded by sea views.

Activities at Kalesma

Go scuba diving in the pristine waters, and set sail on a scenic trip in a private yacht around hidden coves. Soak up some history by exploring the island of Delos (the mythical birthplace of Apollo) with an expert guide, and discover its temples and statues.

Walk through the winding alleyways of Chora, go on a shopping spree (the hotel also has its own luxury boutique) or indulge your taste buds with a foodie tour and learn about traditional local favourites such as Myconian sausage and kopanisti cheese.
