SANTORINI – 5 nights

After three nights on Mykonos, you’ll board a hydrofoil to Santorini, the last stop on your Greek honeymoon and an impossibly romantic place to end. With its pristine white box houses and blue-domed churches clinging to multi-coloured volcanic cliffs, this island is renowned for its scenery and the beauty of its sunsets, which are often described as among the finest in the world. The island’s just a baby in geographical terms – formed somewhere around 1450 BC by a huge volcanic eruption – but it’s a perfect example of traditional Greek island life, and its rolling vineyards produce some of the country’s best wine. You’ll spend five nights at Katikies, an elegant and luxurious hotel in the town of Oia with no fewer than two infinity pools from which you can gaze over the Aegean Sea. The island’s white, red and black sand beaches are beautiful, while the Minoan ruins of Akrotiri, destroyed and preserved by a volcanic eruption in the 17th century BC, is Greece’s answer to Pompeii.
