Domes Zeen Chania has a beautiful setting cocooned by the hillside on Crete’s Mediterranean coast, and is just 2.5km from the historic city of Chania.

The unusual and eye-catching decor certainly makes this hotel stand out from many other hotels in Greece. The spacious, handcrafted interiors are minimalist and have an earthy, organic feel, a neutral colour scheme and plenty of natural woods. The rooms and villas epitomise comfort and laid-back luxury and create a private sanctuary. They look out over the gardens or the sea, and large retractable glass walls open out onto private terraces where you can relax in seclusion.

Extra beds and baby cots are available in all rooms, while the villas, including two-bedroom family villas, offer the ultimate in privacy and luxury, with plenty of space for the whole family, including living rooms and private gardens and pools.

Food & Drink

The hotel’s ethos is inspired by the Greek concept of parea, or gathering together, and the restaurants are no exception. The beach club restaurant’s menu features fresh-off-the-boat seafood and juicy meats from local farmers, and you can order handcrafted cocktails at the bar. The Beach House kitchen offers plenty of healthy dishes featuring delicious Cretan flavours as well as a twist on classic favourites – such as porridge with pick and mix toppings - that will tempt the fussiest of young eaters.

There's also the Estia Gourmet Fusion restaurant, serving up breakfast and dinner, with an irresistible menu of Cretan, Mediterranean and international delights. 

Facilities

In keeping with the hotel's earthy, natural style, the pool is a striking black colour and is a perfect oasis to cool off in or relax by, and there's a separate pool for children. Adults, meanwhile, can pamper themselves with a massage in the jungle spa or unwind with some yoga.

The pebbly beach right in front of the hotel makes it easy to relax by the sea. The impressive kids club will definitely keep younger members of the family entertained, with activities such as cooking classes, painting workshops and a sleepover experience in a Bedouin-inspired tepee – giving parents the chance to linger over a balmy evening under the stars at the beach club.
